Infernal Cry Uses Up Combo Points From All Skills

As a monk, when skills have combo points, using Infernal Cry resets all combos on all skills to 0. This interaction is not mentioned anywhere.

You might be using Infernal Cry with a different weapon set from the one that you're using for your attacks?
IIRC combo resets if you swap weapon sets. |
