Essence and wisp nodes still do nothing after the patch

I mean specifically the nodes that are supposed to increase the chance of spawning them.
I'm only forcing ritual with tablets so there should be enough "room" for essences and wisps to spawn. But besides the guaranteed wisp from the boss atlas node I have seen zero wisps since the patch.

Further testing revealed that the guaranteed wisp from the boss node (Drawn to Light) makes it so that the wisp chance nodes do nothing an you always only get the one guaranteed spirit per map.

Without the boss node I get multiple wisps whenever I find them.
