Will Wild Bear Ascendency not fire if you already have Adrenaline?
|
If you are already buffed with Adrenaline and you hit Max Rage with Wild Bear Ascendency, does all your Rage disappear even if it can't rebuff you with Adrenaline? Or will it keep your Rage at max and not fire until your Adrenaline drops?
The answer to this question really matters. Last edited by t0lkien#7048 on Oct 25, 2025, 10:55:28 AM Last bumped on Oct 29, 2025, 10:07:09 PM

Adrenaline cannot be gained or refreshed while you already have Adrenaline.

I would assume that it does not refresh because there's no text specifically indicating that it does.
It did look good at first glance. |

Let's assume the worst:
You reach the maximum rage but still have Adrenaline. It consumes rage but does nothing as "Adrenaline cannot be gained or refreshed while you already have Adrenaline". All you need to do is to invest resources to get "gain 5 rage on hit". In this way, you get 10 rage per sec and reach maximum rage in 5 sec with wild bear (30 default max rage+ 20 max from wild bear). you get 5 secs of Adrenaline which is just enough to cover the ramp up time. You will get almost 100% uptime for Adrenaline as long as you have something to hit. "2 ascendency points + investment to get 3 rage on hit (wild bear small passive gives 2 rage on hit)" in my opinion is an option worth to consider. |

" This is what I was thinking as well. Ideally it needs to be just slightly longer than 5s to get to max Rage though, so that Adrenaline has time to drop, and be reapplied. I'm going to assume the worst, that if Adrenaline is still up when Wild Bear procs, you lose all your Rage for no benefit. Even so, it's definitely got legs. " Assuming the best, all you need is a Runegraft of the Warp. It's not even strictly necessary but just a QoL improvement. Also pick rage mastery for intimidation and it's all set. I'd like this better than "First strike, Last to fall" as the additional investment required for wild bear is relatively very low. |

very curious as well, but im thinking its going to eat the rage :(

The wording has been updated:
" New buff doesn't have the "if you already have" restriction. |
