Pretty unplayable right now

Drowning in shaders. Ping goes between 50 and 5000. Can't do anything but play brainless LA.

Yeah, sounds like the servers are really struggling right now. The shader stutter plus ping spikes make it basically unplayable. Best move is to give it a bit once the servers stabilize or a quick patch drops, things should smooth out. You’re not the only one seeing this right now.

Just to share my experience with this:

I have enjoyed this season more that any other so far with the addition of the merchant tabs, which allows me to spend more time playing instead of inventory management.

Love the abyss mechanics.

I'm not totally sold on the changes to towers just yet, but don't hate it either.

My biggest issue right now is the shader issues. On DX12 with a 9800X3d and an RTX 5090. I've tried all the tricks like deleting shader cache, but nearly every level, usually after I've uncovered most of the minimap, the entire screen will freeze for like 20 seconds. Then, it goes black with the embers and the gear for another 20 seconds or so, then I'm back in the game, mid fight, with my minimap completely covered again.

This is pretty frustrating. I've had some network spikes too on occasion, but the shader thing has gotten out of control.
