[QoL Request] Increase Faustus Sale Slots for Currency/Consumable Trade
|
Hello GGG Team,
First of all, thank you for the work on the offline trade system on consoles. It’s a real improvement and brings the console experience closer to PC. However, there is a major limitation that strongly restricts trading on consoles: the 10-item sale slot limit (Faustus). With only 10 slots, it’s nearly impossible to: effectively sell or buy currencies, scarabs, essences, oils, or other consumables, maintain a healthy and fluid economy on consoles, especially since the player base is much smaller than on PC. I suggest increasing this limit to 50, 100, or more. This would allow: players to sell and buy a wider variety of items, a more functional console economy closer to PC, an overall improved trading experience without changing the current offline trade system. Thank you for your attention and for your work on the console version. Last bumped on Jan 5, 2026, 2:55:38 PM

You do know that PC has the same slot limit too, right?

" Of course PC is at 10. What does that have to do with the suggestion that increasing it on Console would significantly help currency trading due to smaller player base (which I 100% agree with). At launch of currency exchange Mark said it could be increased. Its probably coded for it and can be changed with a simple configuration and likely per market. Currency trading is in a really bad spot on PSN with the loss of TM. An easy patch is to let the fewer players list more items each to fill out the exchange. It makes sense. It took me 12 hours to buy 20 suphite scarabs yesterday on currency exchange that I would have had on old TM in minutes. And the volume of whispers I'm getting this league, ridiculous. Turned off all chat/sounds for that peaceful mapping experience! |

" Thanks for clarifying! Allowing currencies/consumables in the asynchronous trade could be an alternative, but it would likely be more complex to implement. Waiting 12 hours just to buy 20 Scarabs perfectly illustrates how broken the system is for consumables. Many players are completely lost compared to the old system, which worked relatively well. I expected the new market to add to this system rather than replace it. Thanks again & GLHF ! |

" This should be done, as they told us that the old trade system will still work (which isn't the case) :/ with the old system it was possible to use the instant sell option with these items and now we are forced to use the 10 slot limited system which is terrible to use on console btw. |

My friends (who are playing less and less because of this) and I have the same problem. My suggestion would be to expand the Merchant Tabs for consoles to include the selling capabilities of normal Premium Stash Tabs, so that we can also meaningfully offer Fragments, Oils, and other items. I feel that the majority of the game lives from trading. If I can't sell my loot, then the game doesn't feel rewarding enough. Greedings and thanks for your work.

I had an idea about this recently.
It would probably be a lot of work, so I don't have high hopes for it, but here it is: If they could somehow allow listing items from "special" tabs on the currency exchange directly from the tab, it would *really* help with this. As Essence Tab would allow listing every different type of essence, just like it used to. Same for the Fragment tab. It would also encourage people who don't have them yet to buy these types of tabs. I know GGG has concerns about allowing too many slots because it could make manipulation too easy, but I think that slots where the "paying" currency is locked (e.g. the slots in the essence tab) would be difficult to use for that purpose. If necessary, they could limit the "pricing" side as well, so things could only be priced a few select currencies (chaos, divine, maybe exalts). Obviously this would require either double the number of slots in these tabs (if it works exactly like Faustus) or some type of "payments received" slots/tab. Double slots seems feasible but problematic for the Essence tab, but seems infeasible for the fragments tab. This is part of why I said it would be a lot of work. |
