Mechanics of "Scarabs cannot be X" Atlas Passives (e.g., Loved by the Sun)

Quick question about passives like Loved by the Sun (no Abyss Scarabs) and Miner's Strike (no Kalguuran Scarabs).
If I take these, what happens to the scarab that would have dropped? Does it just disappear? Or does it get rerolled into a different scarab? Just wondering if I'm losing out on loot. Thanks! Last bumped on Nov 17, 2025, 10:55:32 AM

We never got an official GGG answer to this but some dedicated players have run tests it in the past (not 100% guaranteed).
