"Crossbow stops firing after Sekhemas Trial (Act 2)"

After completing the Sekhemas Trial, my crossbow stopped working correctly and I am unable to fire.

Solutions I have already tried, without success:

I restarted the game and my computer several times.
I removed the skills from my action bar shortcuts (mouse buttons and Q, W, E, R, T keys).
I removed all the skill and support gems from my equipment and reconfigured everything again.

The crossbow still won't fire after these attempts.
