Act 2 is dark (I'm in maps)

When you let out the vaal oversoul in A2, the weather changes to dark and Greust gets angery at you. When you complete A2, it goes back to daytime.
Today, I logged in to A2 after having to unlock Einhar now my atlas is complete (who knew you had to click the guy), and it's back to nighttime. Very strange. Hold on I just saw the transition, it's nighttime again. Had a wavy kinda effect that looked very intentional.
I guess it's not a bug and I just stumbled on something new? Or never paid attention before? Town is lava. sigfault

FWIW, before the patch, the town did not turn dark at all anymore.

Act 8 is doing similar. It's all green.
