Damage taken as (NOT HITS) bugged. Tests done in PoB and In game.

SETUP :
CI (100% chaos damage immunity)

Damage taken as to mana :
Foulborn Mind of the council (Helmet) (30% Phys and Light taken to mana)
Mind over matter (tree) (40%)
watcher's Eye while affected by clarity (10%)
The Aylardex (1% to mana x 10power charge = 10% to mana)
Divine guidance notable (10% damage to mana - templar ascendancy)

Total = 100% Phys and Lightning sent to mana before life.


Damage taken as :
Divine Flesh notable (timeless Jewel) (50% elemental damage taken as chaos)
Bound By destiny - 10% elemental taken as Chaos with 4 hunter.
Font of thunder (40% cold and fire to lightning) (shield)

Total : 60% elemental taken as chaos and 40% of Cold and Fire taken as lightning.


Current results after testing in game : I take no damage to Fire and Cold resistance from HITS.

I proceeded to test damage over time by delibarately walking into an enemies vortex, I made sure my 10 power charge had more than 20seconds of duration left. The vortex instantly killed me.

I did further testing through PoB.

PoB does mention that my effective lifepool for dots are in the single digit. (less than 10 because CI and all damage taken bypass ES)

I Figured it could be something to do with patch 3.0.0 "Mind Over Matter Now applies to Damage over Time as well as Hits."

So I made sure to edit Bound by destiny to provide 100% elemental taken as Chaos and this is with CI active and MoM deactivated in PoB. The results should have been 100% of ele taken as chaos and since we are chaos immune effective HP is infinite for all but chaos. And just to confirm, it does show infinite EHP for elemental HITS but when we go to the details, it still shows and effective HP pool towards DoTs of 9.


Summary :
Basically PoB states no matter what, that DoT damage isn't being converted.

I remember Cloak of Flames applying to DoTs before but now, even it seems to be broken.

At a glance, you aren't hitting 100% of damage taken from Mana before Life with this.
Since Divine Flesh makes all damage taken bypass Energy Shield, to make this work with CI, you have to have 100% (or more) of damage taken from Mana before Life.

That being said, there have still been people reporting issues of some things still damaging Life despite having Mana remaining.
You are correct, I was missing the The Aylardex power charge amulet on my OP.
