settlers no pirate invasion

I've played this game quite a lot especially the settler mechanic.

My boats which i've been running since league start have not once been held by pirates.

I've also been running 1 maping group non stop(this one i know is rare)

But i haven't seen any pirate invasion since league start. Is this a bug or just incredibly low rng? There is just some wierd rng going on.

Side whine/rant:
I've done the entire eagon tutorial, i've ran 80 maps I haven't seen eagon or nameless seer. I'd like to get out of defiled cathedral one of these days. I'd like to finish my maven invitations as well... At this rate i'll buy a mageblood before I get to see eagon or nameless. Hell I probably could buy a mageblood if i liquidate my svallin and some side things.
