Threads of the originator - quest line bug

The Memory Tear quest is seemingly ready to be started but when talking to Eagon I get the error: "You do not have the required Quest State to access this area"

Interact with your Map Device and toggle off Maven / Exarch / Eater, then talk to Eagon again.
Having spent thousands of euros on Path of Exile over the years, I will not be further supporting it financially until and unless GGG resumes offering Technical Support.
