Why certain (big) changes are only in Q&A and not in patch notes?

I am wondering why GGG didn't add eg. the removal of homogenizing omens into the patch notes and only mentioned it in the Q&A. I think its a huge change, definitely worth to mention there.

My theory is that they haven't decided it completely and depending on the community feedback they might keep it?

That could be a good theory, mark did said not all of the notes are out yet and they will be updating it as time goes on.

they keep working on the game all the way until launch. so they probably had those patch notes locked in a bit before the decision to remove homogenizing and hadn't got around to another pass on the patch notes. they update the notes as well all the way through to launch. something as major as this i would imagine they get into the patch notes at some point. though, i know not *every* little change makes it into the notes. so i also wouldn't be surprised if it "misses" the patch notes completely.

i think, they put completed works at patch notes and talk about uncompleted works at Q&A. since they release patch notes one week earlier, i think, it's acceptable. they have one more week to work on patch. i prefer, not to see uncertain things in patch notes.
