player collision in coop

With druid coming, Figured I'd drop another post about the same thing. Player collision in coop (ESPECIALLY DURING A BOSS FIGHT), is just not fun, annoying, doesn't bring anything to the table, it just ends up path of desync, getting stuck into a friend trying to dodge the monkey, and the list goes on.
I would love to know why its even there in the first place. Feels like its just making playing coop with a friend seriously frustrating. Last bumped on Dec 8, 2025, 3:55:19 PM

I'm generally a fan of player collision in games but something about PoE2 doesn't feel right. Maybe the ratio of view distance and character size, the density of enemies and size of attacks or most likely that isometric doesn't block your view so players don't feel the need to move like it does.
I only started coop with friends last league and they were constantly bumping into me. I'm used isometric body blocking from Battlerite, League, Supervive and similar so it was triggering me. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac

Its especially the fac that your hitbox is so LARGE. In places like mud borrow you have to dodge roll to get past your friend its kind of silly. but its really the whole desync and bumping into each other during boss fights that throws me off. Hopefully they can either remove it or make player hitbox extremely smaller someday, because we tried a 4man hardcore run for fun once, and 2 died by getting stuck into someone else trying to dodge a slam, its a bit annoying, and I really don't think its bringing any flavor to the game.
