sharing ideas how to make the game enjoyable for both player bases

Hello community.
As you likely have noticed, there is quite the polarization in the community how the game should be - often expressed as something like "slow, meaningful, challenging combo combat" versus "quick, more effortless, rewarding lootfarming / zooming".
In a developer interview Mark mentioned that they want to integrate something like the Atlas tree having nodes where the player can alter the encounter experience: there can be either more monsters with less hp or less monsters with more hp. Loot would be adjusted, so that players get roughly the same loot, independent of that choice.
I find this to be a good idea - that players can tailor their experience more to their liking via the atlas tree without negatively impacting others.
I would like to use this thread to share more such ideas. You're invited to share yours or comment mine.

1) optional harder difficulty for the campaign
Its expected that we play through the campaign during each season. For a repeated playthrough a higher difficulty would be nice. However for a new player this might be too much and become frustrating. Multiple difficulty levels for the campaign would solve this, because everyone could choose the challenge level that suits them. Since it's PoE 2, this could be implemented by a challenge-nodes-passive-tree.

2) add something like an optional challenge / balanced combat mode and invent more fun things were balance doesn't matter
There are some game elements like certain lineage support gems or uniques that seem to be designed to break the games balance. I suggest adding an optional game mode, were those elements are disabled to provide a more balanced combat experience that stays challenging on a well equipped character. The devellopers would also commit to balancing the game really well for this mode. Maybe there could be even mid-league-balance changes only effecting those who opt-in.

At the same time more "fun" stuff can be created for players who enjoy that: so if you want your epic spell to echo 3 times, your AoE's to become super large and flashy - that would stay in the game and more in that direction could be invented (without developers having to restrain their creativity in that regard due to the game balance).
Basically you as player could decide which kind of experience you would like to have: a more challenging, balanced experience or an experience with ways to break the game and just have fun with things available exclusive to that mode. And you could switch between them.
