Deadly Resolve Support Gem Crashes my Friend's Game

My friend and I started playing the 0.4 league together and he had no crashes at all. The next day he started crashing almost every 10 minutes. He looked through many different fixes but nothing was working until we looked into multiplayer issues and found a reddit thread from one year ago mentioning that their friend was using the "Fiery Death" support gem. The thread said their friend was off-screen and exploding corpses and the thread poster was crashing.

Now, today my friend was crashing and I though maybe it was a similar issue to this fiery death support gem and so I took off Herald of Fire just in case that was the issue, but even with it off my friend was still crashing. So I looked at another support gem I had, a new gem introduced in 0.4, "Deadly Resolve." When I used the support gem off-screen, my friend crashed like clockwork.

This support gem is used with channeling skills, such as Fury of the Mountain, and builds stages while channeling and when you get hit there is a retaliation attack. I was off-screen, built the stages, got hit and my friend crashed instantly.

Maybe there is another issue but at least for right now, I took the support gem off and he is able to run around without any crashing.

My friend has a GEFORCE RTX 5060TI Graphics card and a Intel Core i7-12700KF CPU if this information is useful at all.
