ACT 3 Progression bug - Soul core causing crashing

Just reached Jiquani's Machinarium and every time i put the soul core into the inital door the game instantly crashes with "an unexpected disconnection occured".

I have tried talking to alva before placing the core, not talking to her, not creating her in the instance..none of it makes a difference.

As soon as the soul core is placed into the stone altar, the game crashes

Same. Using directx11 because on vulkan or dx12 the texture doesnt load, dont know if relates to that. Playing as wolf form
