As a PoE1 player, PoE2 feels so Clunky...
|
Hi everyone.
I played PoE2 at the Early Access release and again recently. My personal opinion is that it's just unnecessarily drawn out... You don't have to blast everything away with one button. But do they really have to design Acts 2 & 3 like a labyrinth and make the paths so unnecessarily long? Do you really have to be able to "fall" while sprinting, or be stunned for 3 seconds when you sprint into a wall or enemy? I run into a 1-pixel edge and get stuck, what the heck is that...? This has nothing to do with being "difficult," it's just unnecessarily clunky... The whole game feels so clunky, there's no "smooth" gameplay. Even the attack animations are just so slow. Personally, the problems mentioned above have ruined this season for me... It's a shame that the sequel to such a great game (PoE1) is intentionally made so clunky; it's really sad. Just go play poe1
No seriously. It's not a gatekeeping. You poe1 andies seems like need nothing but poe 1 with better graphics. Just go play poe1. You have poe1. Poe2 ain't gonna be as you want it to be. Its amusing how poe1 players dont remember the times when poe1 was not a good game in the beginning and it took years for poe1 to be what you have now yet you comparing 13 years of support to early access product (that for some stupid reason is treated like a fully released game). |

" Well go get your fix in POE 1 mate. The rest of us will enjoy POE 2 and we all hope you guys enjoy POE 1 as much as we enjoy 2. |

" You all say this and stop playing a brand new game 3 weeks in to the league. But keep gaslighting people about how great the game is. POE2 will get more and more like poe1 as time goes on, it's already started happening and you will find it happens more and more, because faster more fluid combat will ultimately keep people playing longer. Now the honeymoon period is wearing off for some, the poe2 campaign experience is getting massively critisized with 100s of upvoted posts on reddit. |

Poe 1 has it's "clunkyness", there are some walls you can dash through, others you get GG'd if you do not know the collision "clunkyness" or should I say "masterpiece" works.
It's not perfect, it can get better, but this poe1 comparison is nonsensical. Pure ignorance or blindness at best. Last edited by SteamSkullerR#7239 on Dec 14, 2025, 7:13:25 PM

" wow 100s of upvotes on reddit? OMG what will or should we do? HUndreds and hundreds of upvotes out of 200k+ players...holy cow GGG better switch course now. We don't want the reddit neckbeards freaking out... o wait...no one gives a flying you know what what redditors think. and no it won't. They've made it clear it wont and the game direction is showing that. Druids is a massive combo class and the monsters are harder overall. go play poe 1 already. Its still got a new league seriously. |

" This is such a weird and bizarre argument since this is supposed to be a sequel,so all the actual hard work should have been solved by now with simple fine tuning and not literally destroying everything that people loved about 1. "Poe 1 andies" is also kinda funny since this game would be a corpse without it running around with POE's name. Last edited by Megami83Tensei#9384 on Dec 14, 2025, 8:05:09 PM

" Always amusing how people are jumping on people making a comparison to the smoothness of PoE when that smoothness != blasting or zooming, and then think everyone should be ok with the PoE2 devs seemingly not using any of their accumulated knowledge to make the game better even a year after ea access release. Some roughness is to be expected for EA, but this... This is some really fundamental issues that should not be happening even in EA, given the long experience of GGG. It is almost like some of the complainers complaining about PoE1 players providing feedback are just trolling. |
