Gargantuan mana flask

When i try to use orb of chance on gargantuan mana flask i get the message Item cannot increase in rarity.
this is the new unique mana flask Laviagna's spirits that was added.
not sure if this is intended or not havent tried using orb of chance on flasks before ??
