Log books don't open on controller works when i log out and switch to mouse

So I tested a lot of weird things to fix not being able to open a log book then found out the only fix is to log out swap off controller and open it.

No method I found lets me open it with controller, from clicking it holding it down. Hitting rb 10 times over. Literally only way is no controller
