Temple Ownership Wonky for Co-op

I'm playing with my friend and even though it's my temple configuration, she gets all the rewards. What I mean: when we complete a room, I'm not able to interact with the crafting benches -- only she can (even though it's my temple).

I didn't mind this too much, but we just beat the architect and when I picked up the reward drop at the end, I didn't not get the increase from 6 to 12 on my room inventory. In addition, I could not interact with the architect console in his room.

My current guess is reward "ownership" is based upon the first person to enter the foyer area where the initial temple console resides. We've tried entering the temple portal (after pressing "Run Temple" button) in different order (her first, then me first on second run) and that didn't matter.
