"The Search" Quest softlock

I beat all 3 bosses to get all the weapon pieces, yet the quest still says search the island for the weapon pieces. fought all the bosses again and it still did not progress the quest. I cant do anything to progress, ive tried resetting instances, restarting the game, waiting hours.

Update: Going to Isle of Kin and killing the boss "Krutog, Lord of Kin" cleared this quest for me.
