YOU RUINED INCINERATE!!!!!!

Literally deleted the gem from the game.

The "Fuel" is called mana. Let us play the game. Jesus christ, unreal.

The thing I dont like about the changes.

The skill itself even if you build for ignite. Does ... no damage.

Its the ignited ground that does the crazy ignite damage.

Problem is, you have to position it and it can be a bit akward to do so.

The fuel duration being halved was a pretty dumb change as well. Dont really like using the skill in general and now its just no thanks

I thought the skill was dead from 0.3. They buffed it this patch.

I don't really mind the concept, the skill just isn't good. I see they just made it so you can't use it if a spell totem is using it which I think is a first for any PoE offensive skill.

I get they're trying to make Ignite a thing but we just do too much damage still to wait.
Only time I noticed Ignite was if Flame Blast didn't Crit a boss which was like 20% chance.

Yep, it's a completely dead spell now. Was still completely usable in 0.3 even with the completely unwanted "fuel" mechanic because you could keep it charged up using Trigger spells. Now they hit it with the triple nerf of gutted fuel generation (-150%) gutted fuel capacity (cut in half) and they hard locked it so you can't generate fuel while casting it.

The devs are really doubling down on their "vision" for the spell being some sort of finisher move that you charge up, cast for a few seconds and then go back to your other spells. There are several problems with this- mainly that there ARE no other good fire spells (Fusilade is OK, but good luck charging fuel with those low mana costs) and also, again, no one who actually like Incinerate wanted it to be this type of spell.

I don't understand why fire gets nerfed over and over and over again when it's always been underwhelming compared to pretty much anything else.
My first character was a sorc using fire. Ended with incinerate because all the other skills were not very good. That was in 0.2.

Didnt know much of the game and i could hardly find any info because nobody was using fire and only answers were "use lightning or ice instead fire is garbage"

Yet they demolished it lol

Sometimes i dont understand the decisions =)

Fire got pretty strong in 0.3 thanks to Infusions.

Fireball has/had ridiculous clear speed while Flame Blast just one-shots bosses.

They made that Incinerate Chonk build video and it was just complete bait.
Using that support that detonates ignited corpses 2s after everything is dead was esp funny.

I logged on her after 0.3 launch cause they said they reworked it all. Just wanted to check and my whole tree was reseted until starting point xD
Tought "nevermind" and moved on lol

Maybe one day i'll give it another go with a fresh character =)

The "Infusion" system needs to go. That is another issue entirely though.

Spells are awful.

I dont think infusions need to go I have grown to love many of the abilities with them.

Firestorm is INSANE actually now.

Incinerate just needs some love I think. I really dont know why they brought the fuel down to 5 entire seconds. Its pretty low.

And then I dont know why its base ignite from incinerate itself is just horrendous. The damage on it is WAY to low.

I don't mind the fuel, but I enjoyed the mechanic of channeling the spell and having it become stronger over time - that was a fun mechanic.
