Dying during the campaign is quite literally the worst feeling I've ever experienced in a video game

Basically title but I will elaborate a bit just in case any of the developers actually read this dumpster fire we call a forum.
The campaign already feels like a war of attrition, I know I know git gud and all that, but when it takes me 25 minutes to cross ONE AREA and I end up dying to some ground degen that I CANT SEE because of screen clutter from skills, it's a bad feeling. I come from POE1 and I don't mind a slower paced games or even the forced combos that we have to do to do damage in this game (although it does limit build diversity quite a bit) but when the areas are this large and it takes time to kill packs of white mobs (mainly because I'm dodge rolling backwards most of the time) and I get ALMOST to the end of the area and to the next checkpoint and BAM ground degen out of nowhere (can't see it because of my projectile skills) and the area resets. It's literally the worst feeling I've ever felt playing an ARPG. I'm someone that plays 5-10 characters a league in POE1 and if I'm being honest I can't see myself playing more than 1 or 2 in POE2 if this is how the game is going to be. /endrant Last bumped on Dec 15, 2025, 9:19:36 PM

" I can understand that. I also dont understand why mobs respawn when you die. It doesnt make much sense to me. But i dont think its a huge issue. You have a good amount of respawn points scattered across an area. “The bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame.”

if you think campaign is punishing in this regard, just wait until you get to maps. XP loss + loss of all dropped items + loss of all of Elon Musk's 'things'.
