What is this a whole casino?!

Since 0.1 each update just add more and more dumb gambling.

No more chasing uniques. No more solid playstyle. No more "i need that item - and my build shine! No matter that item is WERY rare!"
"Dream fragments" - forgotten. "Temporalis" - noone needed. Etc.

Now you need gamba items for enjoyable build:
1. Gamba at first crafting.
2. Gamba at desecration.
3. Gamba at vaaling.
4. Gamba at second vaaling
5. Gamba at get rid of bad mod at mediocre unique.

What next? We will just roll the dice - complete map or not?
We'll use tarot cards to tell our fortunes - will we successfully kill Arbiter?

Thanks, this is without me.

Yes, that's the entire business model since POE1 began in 2013.
Hardcore
I've got no issue with RNG playing a role in crafting/gear acquisition honestly.

I actually think it's kind of cool that statistics is involved in crafting & can nerd out over it - it's a cool way to actually have crafting take "skill" - you need to understand the systems and have a decent grasp on probabilities to craft. That's kind of cool and unique. In every other game "crafting" takes no skill - it's just a straight menu, collect items X and Y, click button, get Z out.

HOWEVER, I DO have a massive problem with how it's implemented. Gear and item management is terrible, a TON of clicking and managing individual items is involved.

If we are truly expected to roll hundreds of dice to craft the item we need, we need much much better tools to manage our items, inventory and stash.

Yes casino gambling is here extended here.

If you find a lucky Tier-2 for all prefixes & attack speed as suffix you can ignore and play until Tier-14 maps. If not, you are fighting to get ANY upgrades as you described above. Some players (1% just invest $100, 100€ for divines or buy one insane weapon and headhunter).

Yep, ok with some of gambling too.
BUT, NOT ALL GAME!

I think, we need a second way to make items. Like:
- if you want to push your luck - just slam this currency onto item and pray.
but
- if you like more methodical or a tough but confident approach - get rare material, make quest or smth, go to location, kill boss/mobz, get time run, close game 150 times in a hour. AND GET YOUR DESIRED STAT ON ITEM - 100%.
Not "possibility", not "maybe tier 10-1", not "your item destroyed"! GIVE THAT STAT TO ME 100%. I play for it 10-20-30+h no problem, just put that existed, and poorly made casino right into your Abyss hole.

Both way get somewhat same time, efforts or else. Instead of learning statistics, looking at spreadsheet on third party site, and gamba-gamba-gamba. I wanna play, not to stare at excel tables. I'm already sick of them at work.
