Spell Totem not consuming Elemental Infusions

Title.

Tried multiple infusion consuming spells on spell totem and it does not look to consume them.

If not a bug and intended, that is fine too, but some confirmation would be great.

I hope this is a bug and will be fixed. Most spells have cooldowns and therefore cannot be slotted into Spell Totem, and the ones without cooldowns rely on infusions to scale their power, such as Comet or Firestorm.
Spell Totem also benefits from nodes like “chance to fire additional projectiles,” so it really doesn’t make sense that it wouldn’t consume infusions.
