Whats with prices in general, maps in particular?

So maps are changing in prices, thats ok.

ive bought 60 quant t14-t16 maps that are influences
by shaper or elder. ive bought them for 2-3c but as i browsed
I saw maps of similar worth (or valued at) 6-200c

that cant make sense. some maps have ideal mods that give you
good quant for low danger, obviously those are worth more.

whats the deal with low tier maps worth a lotta c ?

makes no sense to me. does it make sense to you? why?

They arent worth that much or selling for that, its just someone bored when they throw them up online, maybe hoping people misclick or maybe not caring.

actually I wil find a guy who has a random alc and go influenced map for 2c,
I go and visit his hideout, but that 2c map and there are many others.
I obviously look for more 2c maps, and I might buy several 3c maps if they
are present, but if not i move on.

upon scouting the other maps its like this: the one I bought for 2c was 78 quant
56 rarity. the map worth 200c is 86 quant 44 rarity, or thereabouts. its worth the
same to me. close enough, barely better!

am i missing something important? or are video games fos?

I would have to see the maps to be 100% sure they arent T17 with good mods, but otherwise its just random.

If you do ANY search, and sort most to least expensive, you see random gear up for 9999 mirrors.

Its not the video game pricing things, just the players being a bit random.

as others have said, players can price things for whatever they want.

Don't mistake seeing something listed for sale as a certain price as an indicator of its actual value.

I think I know what you were seeing. I noticed this weirdness too since I was feeding my mappers elder maps all league and these people often had one single map at the lowest price.

I am 99% sure these are RMT bots. I saw dozens and dozens of them. Always only 1 single sale tab. Always maps with completely nonsensical prices (completely identical maps priced at 4c, 20c, 100c, 5div but not in a way meant to land mine people...they're just randomly placed in the tab), and then some random items with absolutely ridiculous prices.

If it was just one person I wouldn't have batted an eye but I saw it over and over and over and over with the exact same pattern. I don't see an alternative explanation.
