Where's loot in 0.4?
|
Started to run maps, but it feels like after level 65 I completely lost any ability to have loot. 90% drops are 30-400 gold drops, some are white items, the more I move by levels - the less loot I get. I cna't afford to buy new equipment, I can't craft it, I can't get it from drops. And I am really struggling with 50% items not changed from Act 3, because drops are complete garbage and I have no currency to buy improvements.
The most frustrating part was: I made it to the stage 3 of the random delirium on map and got 0 distilled emotions and 3 splinters. WTF? Aren't emotions count always was guaranteed and equal to stage? I have strange flashbacks of the early 0.2, when I saw 1-2 exalts per map, sometimes 0, mostly getting gold piles intead of good things. Did they block the juicing behing rare tablets (Arbiter) and cut drop chances in general? P.S. Probably, rarity should help, but I am getting nothing from maps so can't afford proper equipment. I am 1 day 2 hours played in the game and t15 maps. Not a single div drop. I never had this happen before. Thinking about quitting the league.

the stuipid absolutely useless stats like reduced requirements are far too common. when exalting i get it at least 40% of the time. the drops suck. kill rares and 2 blues drop is extremely common and i got like 100 rarity. been playing for 3 days now without a single upgrade drop or path to an upgrade. im not endgame either, hit t6 maps today.

" Reduced requirements isn't a useless affix but many people aren't playing off-meta and doing something like bow-druid or gemling that scaled int for spells and wanted to use crossbow as a secondary weapon for a skill or two. I only play SSF and it is my duty as one to inform you of my status.

" See that's the problem right here. There is a bunch of stats that have 0 good uses COMBINED with too many tiers of stats so even the useful ones can be effectively useless, so your success rate for an item is very very low even if looking for 1 or 2 mods which is usually what you are realistic about when going for a yellow. This creates so many moving parts. First you have to look for a decent base, then you have to transmute and aug it with enhanced transmute and aug, pray that you hit something, then slam an essence because otherwise you are fucking doomed, slam the abyss currency which gets you a way better chance for a good mod especially if you slam it with echoes, and the other 2 you want an at least tier 2 exalted + a greater exaltation. Notice how nowhere in my post do i mention the vaal temple. You can if you want risk to overquality i guess and then slam corruption into double corrupt but if you delete an item you spent all this rigmarole to print you are going to punch a hole through the nearest wall. Last patch was very balanced both on SSF HC and on SC because you could realistically go for an upgrade but this patch there is just no loot and no gold dropping and you are stuck in this weird limbo of "i can't get any items". And the reason 100% is the pack size change. They reduced pack sizes by 40% and buffed loot drops and HP by 40% which you'd think "wait isn't that the same loot?". No, because one change is multiplicative and the other is additive, therefore it leads to way less loot dropping. So when you pair that with the high probability of an item you pick off the ground being useless, and your attempts at resuscitating it also being useless you effectively don't have any loot. As for Reduced Attribute Requirements. This mod is absolutely useless in its current iteration. It would be useful if it got rebalanced as a global modifier that also affects gems (level req of max usually is around 205) and support gem slotting (5 per support gem of each respective color). So that way you could equip gems you otherwise couldn't due to attribute reqs and nerfing also support gem costs from 5 to 10 per support gem of that color so that you can make it more crucial for one or two pieces of your gear even. That also rebalances the related soul cores. Either that or just remove it completely and add something actually useful. Last edited by Remsleeprem#2330 on Dec 17, 2025, 3:40:53 AM

If someone doesn't play 12 hours a day, progression after the campaign takes forever. |

Ok, so there's something interesting:
I was suffering getting mostly white items and gold in early endgame (lvl 65-72), but once I hit level 72 - with the same equipment I started to get more or less regular loot, all this with rarity around 20% on equipment, all the time. Now I am at level 79 and I am getting comparatively fine drops for my low rarity% (no divine drops per map, but I am getting some exalts and usable rare items, I am completely happy with that for now). Loot started to drop everywhere, including previously empty temple of the Vaal. Either it was a patch this night, or there's interesting curse in progression: < 40 level - regular campaign drops, enough for progression and upgrates time after time 40-64 levels - drops gradually reduced, no upgrades for almost like Act 3 and 4, ocassional upgrades with occasional craft 65-71 levels - The Lootless Domain area, with the bottom at level 68 or something around, can't buy anything, can't drop anything good >= 72 levels - drops gradually coming to normal, like it was in the first 2 Acts of campaign, at this point it's extremely good to finally get rarity equipment It was very hard to get from the lootles pit, I literally bought upgrades by selling almost everything valuable I got and one Heavy Belt base I was lucky to get. Also, in this situation I got "helping hand" from Rigue Exile, who always drop kits, they are not good, but its a good shot for at least small upgrade (especially for SSF). Hope, this helps the other unlucky strugglers like me and hope GGG will make this curve not that deep, start of the endgame shouldn't be this harsh. Or should it? |
