Temples are unrewarding and slow.

I don't know how else to put it.
I think that the crafting is great. It opens up a lot of possible builds. But in order to get to it? This league doesn't respect player time and grind. You have to do SIX MAPS. SIX. Just in order to get inside the actual league mechanic. Compare that to abyss which was always present. Always had rewards. Always provided something. Now we go to the temple, incursion. Whatever you want to call it. You complete a tier 3 room. You get ABSOLUTELY NOTHING because the room says 'may give you XXXXXX' Not WILL. It MAY give you. You can go nearly majority of temple and get nothing out of it. More so if you got unlucky. And oh boy. Unlucky you'll get. Like... how do you imagine that players are supposed to progress when their progress is constantly getting deleted. You spend hours upon hours setting up a perfect spot. Just to end up randomly getting it deleted. Or having architect spawn in middle and basically blocking progression to Atziri. The league is simply extremely slow, unrewarding, time wasting and not even present in the game. ------------- My actual feedback on improvement would be: 1. Decrease the amount of maps required to do from 6 to 4. This way people who want to interact with this mechanic can do it more. Where others can just use it for its rewards or just stack rooms and move on to do it later. 2. Remove the "may give you rewards" and just give them to people for fuck sake. More so when its just generic rewards like an exalted orb for completing one of the barrack rooms. 3. Give us a damn undo button so we can experiment with what rooms we can place. 4. Give us a reset button which functions similar to the architect. Complete reset of the dungeon and start over. 5. Split the offered rooms to two categories. Reward rooms and paths. You get offered 12 options. 6 rooms, 6 paths. However you can only place them like you'd usually do normally. This gives players option to entirely create a pathway and rush to objectives OR simply create a reward room layout. Last bumped on Dec 18, 2025, 6:37:36 AM

Temples are a waste of time and not fun. Been skipping them ever since I've started grinding t15s.

The idea is good. I like that they are testing mechanics with meta progression, we trully need that.
But i aggree, it needs to be more rewarding, and meta progression needs to happen in a more smooth way. It needs tunning |

whats the point of adding a mechanic if they wont even make it rewarding. some intern dev probably spent a pot of time making the temple and most people are just skipping it because its a waste of time

the fact that we can't just run the temple and need to first do 6 maps is extremely frustrating. was hyped up for fighting atziri this league, but looks like I can't just get to that point without wasting a bunch of hours(without playing a zoom build and actually wanting to see boss mechanics, you're also very likely to lose the first encounter, so the time investment goes up) maybe an atlas sub-tree(like we got for the abyss) will give us some options to run this mechanic more often, but I don't get why this wasn't included on release. starting to think that a lot of the pacing problems and design decisions are just a cover-up for the fact that they have a bunch of development issues going on internally, resulting in a lack of content, so they drag stuff out on purpose. i guess after the holidays the first priority on their list is probably gonna be "oh shoot, we need to develop a new poe1 league" and resources will go there instead of addressing poe2 problems |

Yep, the 3 worst things, temple is slow/random/no rewards. It only works somewhat during the campaign when you can upgrade yellow items.
