Charged Staff & Shapeshifting

After activating Charged staff, if you shapeshift into another form (didn't test bear) via an ability like Pounce. When you return to human form, the charged staff effect still shows but no waves will produce.

If you use the ability again while Charged staff isn't working, the duration increases but the effect stays broke.
