Temple feedback to make it less bad
|
Ok. I really want to like this mechanic it has a lot of features that should be amazing but here is where I am.
* I have run over a hundered maps and I still haven't fought atziri because it takes forever to get a path to the architect or her once the whole temple gets destroyed. * I was running the temple every time I was able but then I realized it is completely worthless unless you have a path to a few important rooms. So for the past 5 temples I have just been entering, putting down hallways opening the temple and then leaving. * Upgrading a room to tier 3 is almost impossible because there are soo many support room types that the ones you need for a specific room get destroyed before they come up again. * In the campaign doing the gate circle encounters dropped loot, sometimes good loot, but then this stopped in maps. Why? So the reality is I am going to keep pushing until I get to fight atziri but otherwise i'm going to keep minimally interacting with the temple because it is just not worth the time. Some suggestions to make this better: * Reduce the number of support rooms to make it easier to upgrade base rooms. This should make it easier to get rooms that upgrade the temple to rarer and more monsters as well as make it more rewarding. * Reduce the number of rooms that get destroyed when you kill the architect. Wiping out the whole temple is very harsh. This will make it easier to build a good temple with rarer rooms and make it worthwhile to kill him more often and make the temple more engaging. * Reduce the number of circles you need to clear from 6 to like 3, so you can do temples more often. In PoE2 maps take a lot longer than in PoE1 so 6 maps means the average player would run about one temple for each hour of playtime. * Make the circles drop (a lot of) loot when you clear the guardians especially the unique ones.
