Why Honour in Trials still exist in this game?
|
Game is on through 1 year and that system is still exist, why you push not fun and ridiculous mechanic?
1) Punishment for punishment itself 2) Melee are so disadvantages comparing to ranged (especially on boss) 3) You can easily get through on the same area lvl maps on campaign or get a bit lvl higher than trials but still honour can just destroying you 4) Cold builds or any stun is very up to straight, when you don't have one of them or one shot mobs you are done 5) I feel when I enter to trials I'm playing another game type. Your priority isn't speed and killing but dodging like Neo from Matrix ;d Last edited by Kaczuś#2032 on Dec 18, 2025, 3:47:08 AM Last bumped on Dec 18, 2025, 4:14:43 AM

Why not? It has existed ever since Sanctum was introduced in PoE 1 at the end of 2022. Back then this was the plan, it's been cooked for years, removing the fundamental aspect of it now doesn't make much sense.
I agree that trials suck major ****, but doesn't make sense for the devs to change them drastically now. Our only hope is the inclusion of other ways to ascend. |

I think the point is for Sekhema to feel different than the rest of the game.
The main problems are that it's sort of mandatory for character progression and it really should not be. Either make the ascendancy run not honour-based or make it what unlocks the trial in the first place somehow. As for the mode itself it's extremely easy when you max your honour resist, which is really not hard to do either. It's just that the difficulty curve is stupid since you do your first run with 0 honour resist and after a few you have 75% resist and take barely any honour loss at all on damage at this point. I do think that both current trials are not implemented well at all into the game and should be endgame activities and not part of the campaign progression and what we currently have in Act 4 should be what makes you ascend. You get to the place, you have a cute quest and a boss fight, you ascend and you have a cute lore conversation hinting that you can come back in endgame to do a new game mode with different rules and unique rewards. Unfortunately it's the labyrinth issue again from PoE1. We are force to do something most people don't enjoy doing for no good reason. |

" It is vanity - pure and simple. They really thought that the Lab was one of the greatest things they ever made. Traps in an ARPG - how cool is that?? Well, it turned out that it wasn't cool at all and in fact was, and in some way still is, one of the most universally hated mechanics ever included. The only reason it is still in the game is because they couldn't just admit that one of their greatest creations sucks. Same thing with the trails here, except it is even worse because they knew that Ultimatum/Sanctum were not terribly popular yet still went forward and included them anyway |
