Don't make the same mistake of PoE1 - Add comprehensive in-game explanations!

One of the major issue for having a wider player-base and, most importantly, a player base that engage with more game systems (crafting, various activities, etc) is that there is an incredible lack of "information" provided to the players and they are forced to look outside the game for wikis, articles, videos, etc.
On top of that, often those information are just deductions or become obsolete over time and the authors don't bother updating them because... well, why should they? They already made the effort when those info were relevant but maybe they stopped being interested in it after some time.

As of today, you need to either guess or spend a disproportionate amount of time using external tools to attempt to craft. And they are not useful still, as there are too many variables to consider, too many items that can influence it depending on the "phase of the moon" so to speak. But beside that, in general, there is a lack of information provided that basically force people to just trade whatever someone else luckily dropped or the very, very few, managed to craft.

This becomes even worse when we go into specific systems. Items provided by breach, delirium, expedition, ritual, abyss, etc. etc.

All of these just give you a very generic and often times feel like placeholder.

For example, each liquid of the Delirium system simply state that "[...] liquid allow you to instill a Notable Passive in an amulet [...]" which means nothing. Which are the passives in this pool? Why are there different liquid? Again, the user need to go online and search and often the result is data from the PoE1 community which often doesn't really apply to PoE2.

I understand the principles of UI/UX at work here, you don't want to overwhelm the users and the systems tend to all be quite deep and complex.

So, I beg of you, simply create a dedicated in-game "wiki" of sort. The dynamic tooltips are a good starting point but we should be able to simply open a "book-like" view in which each item or mechanic is explained in details, even if just by text and simple images (no need for videos like in the gems explanation for example).

Thank you

Better stop creating unnecessary complicated mechs
Auctioneer House - is a MUST!

I would agree with you but it's sort of the hallmark of Path Of Exile so I figure there is little chance that it would be something realistic to suggest. Also, complex is not bad in principle, the important thing is to have a good curve that allow people to interact with a system and passionate ones to explore it more deeply (and get better outcomes).

The crucial part imho is always to have some good documentation of these system.

I mean, it must be frustrating for the engineers that develop the systems in the first place if only a tiny percentage of the userbase actually end up using them, no?
