Ruzhan's trap question?

Not sure if It's intended but if Ruzhan's trap is active (runes/tornado) using a fire spell like solar orb or flame wall causes Ruzhan's trap to end early, Also I don't see any way to quality the djinn ascendancy skills on console (not sure if I need to be max ascendancy for this never tried to quality an ascendancy skill)
