Excess regeneration from Wyvern's Devour skill does not turn into energy shield with Zealot's Oath

Wording on the devour skill says it "regenerates" life. The function of turning devours excess life into energy shield does work with the new soul tether corruption but not with the Zealot's Oath Keystone despite them supposedly functioning the same. That, or the life gain is actually leech and not regen which would explain the soul tether functionality.
