Game is a slog. Druid squishy..

I finished campaign last year as Mercenary. I quite enjoyed the game. BUT I have to replay some bosses 5-15times. I was dying a lot, I was pressing space all the time. It seemed to me I'm playing Souls-like game.
I refused to replay this game because I remember that "slog".
But those druid-trailers convinced me. I tried the again after a year.. And uninstalled after 10minutes. I was regularly dying as Werewolf-druid in first region-Clearfell mostly to ranged/spellcasters.
I don't understand why this game so punishing at beginning..
