Give us a challenge and bring back rewarding chase items

A few ideas (edited)
1. Mirror league. Instead of Rogue Exiles, let's have a chance to have a mirrored copy of ourselves, down to exact gear, passives, skills, etc. Let us fight an exact replica of ourselves and then it has a chance to drop mirrored copies of our gear. I feel like this could be a very challenging and rewarding mechanic that stays consistent as you progress. 2. Tiers to chase items. Let's take Ingenuity for example. Let's say the current version is T4 and original was T0. Let us have the ability to drop higher tiers for more difficult maps or bosses and let us use the Recombinator to combine items of the same tier to upgrade it to the next tier making it more powerful. There would still be the gold cost and the chance for failure, so the risk is there alongside the reward. 3. Purchasable companions. Pay gold for companions in your hideout. They would follow and would serve different functions and have different strengths based on price. But essentially this would allow solo players to cash in on group mechanics if they can keep the companions safe while mapping while also adding bag space for looting. The only challenge in the game is can you dodgeroll all the 1-shots thrown at you and "how much time can you sink into this game?".
And they keep doubling down on these concepts. |
