Vaal City Map - League Mechanic objective

I did a Vaal City Map in the Atlas and my objective is to "Find and defeat the Royal Architect" I believe this is the objective of the new league mechanic.
I defeated Viper and the map says it is completed but I cannot access the surrounding maps on the atlas due to this new "objective".

Perhaps using same map ID?

Apologies I see that objective pops up with every port since I have yet to complete the quest.

However the fact remains that I killed Viper and the map is not allowing use of connected maps in the atlas.
