Certain bosses in Mapping shouldn't be there

Very casual lover of the game you are building. However, the mapping boss experience in killing my enjoyment of it. The fact that certain maps have bosses that I can barely beat in campaign and now they are just stronger and still have multiple one shot mechanics that are hard to dodge is really not fun. Its not fun for two reasons. 1. Progression is undone when I die. I lose experience. 2. I lose my map when I eventually die out to the boss due to the one shots. Now let me preface this with I take my time in boss fights, I watch out for the mechanics. I know what the bosses are going to do. But certain bosses such as Benedictus (why is he doing 4 one shots in a row, the move has two parts that one shot you if you are close or if you are far and cannot roll out of the way). I don't know how much feedback you've gotten around bosses in mapping but they are fun to fight against for the most part. But there are certain bosses that I think most casuals if not most players would rather not see again in a normal map. i.e. Silverback, Benedictus, etc. Players struggle with these bosses in the campaign still (its been a year with Silverback and you still see people dying multiple times to it), PLEASE do not put them in maps. Or if you do put them in special maps like you do with the act bosses. Again bossing is fun, the boss design for 95% of them is excellent. But please, I don't do 900 Billion damage in 1 second. I don't min/max or do crafting to get 600 divs in a league to afford cracked gear to do 900 Billion damage in a second. I don't want to be surprised by a boss in a map that I know will take me 2 - 5 tries to beat, and I only have 2 because of how mapping works with portals. Last bumped on Dec 19, 2025, 10:11:35 AM
