Equipped gloves disappeared after dying in Trial of Sekhemas

I was playing through Trial of Sekhemas and died in the Hourglass Trial from one of the rare enemies. I instantly died by one of the rares that shot into the sky. I then respawned outside and noticed my gloves were gone. Not in my stash. Not on the floor. I even have a picture of the gloves as they were one of my best crafts ever.
