PoE2 Stormgore, the Guardian (Etched Ravine) Lightning Breath Damage Bug

Description of Boss:

When the Stormgore boss fight starts, Stormgore stands up and does a cone-shaped Lightning Breath attack that starts on one side of the arena and goes to the other side.

The boss does this attack throughout the duration of this fight as well but in order to trigger this attack you have to leave melee range of the boss. When you are out of melee range, if this ability is off cooldown, he will use it.

Bug:

The bug is that the first Lightning Breath Attack Stormgore does when he first stands up at the start of the fight does 300%-400% more damage than it should. The bugged damage is between 1,800-2,000 damage. Usually it does 1,800ish damage but sometimes it will kill me (probably because of an early Shock proc or critical hit).

When Stormgore uses this ability during the rest of the fight it does normal damage. The normal damage is around 550 dmg when i stand close to the boss, in the middle of the attack, and get hit by the full duration.


This bug is repeatable, but not 100% of the time. I have reproduced it about 14/15 times. Only once did it appear to do the normal amount of damage.


My Character's Defenses:

I tested this with a character that has 2,000 HP, 75% Lightning Resistance, and 1579 Armour (41% Physical Damage Reduction).

I have two clips of the bug and normal damage.

The first clip shows the bugged damage at the start of the fight in the beginning. At the end of the first clip it also shows the normal damage, however i was standing to the side and moved during the attack so i didn't get hit by the full damage. Nonetheless the partial hit did something like 100-200 dmg tops.

The second clip shows the normal damage when i'm standing close to the boss, in the middle of the cone, while i stand still during the whole duration for maximum damage of 500ish.
