If you already spoke to Kaimana about blood fever and the shark fin, later conversation is confusing

Playing as sorc, I went to Ngakanu early, spoke to Kaimana about blood fever + shark fin. Later I talked to Tavakai in Kingsmarch. Then later, I got the shark fin and returned to Ngakanu. Speaking to Kaimana, my character and Kaimana both acted as if it was the first time speaking about the shark fin and blood fever.

The later conversation should probably not treat it the same as if we had not had the first conversation.
