Vaal Temple quality work bench ate skill gems socketed into Svalinn Crucible Tower Shield

-Using the quality bench in the Vaal temple made my Svalinn Crucible Tower Shield +7% quality but I didn't receive my socketed skill gems, I only received the shield back

The shield is bad. I threw on another shield and no issues with spirit reservation.
