Disciple of Varashta minion

Hi

So I was just in maps playing my minion build when all of a sudden my minions died and never spawned back. So now I have a character with minion skill gems, enough spirit for all of those but no minions spawning. Basically the minions just straight up bolted and never came back. I'm confused and can't get them to spawn back
