Xesht encounter

I opened the my xesht encounter, i walked through the hand in the crater but no monsters spawned. I walked through the entire area to the end, at the very end there was an invisible "It who ___" monster that i killed. After the timer ran out i got put back at the start, walked through it againt and still nothing.
