Temple is the worst product of GGG

The new Temple mechanic is a disaster. It’s unintuitive, impossible to understand which paths connect to which rooms, and feels completely untested. More than that, it shows the developers simply don’t care about player experience this mechanic looks rushed together just to ship the season on time, not because it’s fun, clear, or finished.

its just a worse version of the alva temple from poe1. somehow they took a mechanic from 2018 and made it worse

I'm loving Temple. But then, I liked Loop Hero, and I think Temple is inspired by that.

That's okay, because no league is going to be for everyone. Some people like doing breaches but not expedition. Some people like doing expedition but not breaches. Maybe Temple is just not for you, which is fine, because there are plenty of other things to do.

I think you really miss what people are talking about. Overall temple early game was very good received, very rewarding on the launch. You made thread saying you are in this period, but it's not what people are complain.

my main problem with Temple is, 6 maps for 1 Run, or if you have maxed out capacity 66 maps for 11 runs.

That takes way to long.

my suggestion would be that from the map mechanic currency items can drop that recharge your crystals (maybe 3-6)?

would be good for players who dont want to run temple (they can sell them off)

and good for players which want to run only temple, they can buy them.


and second problem in my eyes is no shared progress between chars in league....at least give us crystal and medallion capacity shared <.<
Ive said this since abyss, Why are they trying to add NEW CONTENT, when WE DONT HAVE THE BASE GAME... WAIT TILL 1.0, THEN WORRY ABOUT ADDING MORE CONTENT AND DOING SEASONS!!!

Its so infuriating and baffles my mind, they are appealing to a very small niche of hardcore no lifers, I love dark souls, I love challenge, this isn't it

The challenge here is not the bosses, its getting the gear to survive these bosses, thats equivelant to winning the lottery, all RNG, some classes its getting the gear to insta those bosses, just ridiculously unbalanced rn

100% agreed. My only gripe is that 6 maps take too long to run a temple. It would be great if there were medallions to reduce this to 5 maps, then 4 maps, and finally 3 maps per run.

Then maybe if/when it goes core, there could be an atlas passive point or two, to reduce this down to 2 or 1 map per temple run. Like, I can imagine 1 point just giving you 1 less charge required to run a temple, and the next passive point would make the temple even less stable, destroying more blocks at random.

Okay, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think what people are complaining about is a) it's not rewarding, and b) it takes way too long to path to Atziri. If that's correct, then fair enough, I won't argue against that. What I'm saying is that the temple is fun for its own sake, even if the loot is not great, and we don't fight Atziri.

I've stopped running temples all together. I have like 4 rooms that are even giving rewards, finish the temple and lose 3 rooms, then come back and can place 4 floors and a room that will inevitable be destroyed on completion of this round of nonsense. This is the most half assed thing and makes me lose a lot of faith in GGG. Feels completely untested beyond the campaign and in no way is worth doing while mapping.

Yeah, but we've been waiting for a year for them to address defenses (ES being better than everything else), rarity (shouldn't affect currency, invalidates too many builds), bugs (there are still so many), underperforming skills (there are still so many), endgame (what we have now is still pretty bare bones and not all that great), etc...

All of those things are more important than adding another half-baked mechanic to the game. I mean, right now a lot of people can't even fight Atziri because she's currently bugged and becomes invincible, and that's the pinnacle boss for the league. Kulemak was also bugged for well over a month last league. It seems they simply do not have enough time to actually release quality updates. Everything is filled with bugs every league. And it's not minor bugs. It's stuff affecting the main attraction, the boss of the league. The quality would probably be much better if they changed the schedule to every 6 months instead of every 4 months. 2 patches per year instead of 3.
