No new year long supporter packs? the 480 dollar ones
|
Forgive me I am unsure what they are called.
Don't new ones typically come out this time of year? You know it takes to farm? It takes BRASS BALLS to farm items and currency. Go and do likewise gents. Currency is out there. You pick it up, it's yours. You don't, I got no sympathy for you. A.B.F. --- Always Be Farming Last edited by jadenharrow#0988 on Dec 24, 2025, 5:07:52 PM Last bumped on Jan 1, 2026, 2:59:34 AM

Oh, the ones that are (or at least used to be) called the "Core" supporter packs?
I think the plan is to have an Early Access-specific series in lieu of those until PoE 2 1.0. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

It would suck for GGG to design expensive packs like those, only to have a relatively few of them sell. =^[.]^=

" Actually, good question. What is going on with the core supporter packs? It is surprising we haven’t heard anything about them yet. I would be really curious to know their plans, especially since they should have mentioned something by now. My guess is they might release a new set with PoE patch 3.28. They have been pushing content incredibly hard on a two-month cycle, and since PoE2 0.4 did not get everything done as planned and some things had to be delayed until 0.5, it seems likely the core packs got delayed as well. They probably just did not have the time to finish them because they are trying to rush things faster than their team can realistically handle. Honestly, they would be better off sticking to the old PoE1 model and giving themselves three to four months per patch instead of trying to cram everything into two. That said, even if only a tiny fraction of players buy these packs, they still make net profit out of them. Anyway, a single individual trying to send a message by not buying further packs will not change anything. For every unhappy customer out there, there are at least a dozen happy customers. I hope they'll announce something right before the end of the year but realistically time is getting short for that.
The past years it became a tradition for me to get a pack for the end of the year. I know a lot of PoE1 exclusive people are waiting for one and PoE2 players already have gotten the packs from last year to get an access key. In addition to having to rush and polish the 0.4 release, GGG might be looking for an elegant way to present a new core set of supporter packs that would still be relevant to push the beta access but also relevant for PoE1 base players as well. If nothing is planned, well too bad. |

" Jonathan Rogers has gone on record as saying he wants PoE II to leave Early Access next year. It would be immensely awkward if they were selling big-dollar packs which include EA access after it leaves EA & becomes F2P. Sales would fall off a cliff until the release of the 2028 Core packs. I think the only chance of a new series of packs for the foreseeable would be if they decide to release a new series without retiring the current packs. That would 1) prompt accusations of greed, 2) make the Supporter Packs page an absolute mess, 3) risk reducing sales overall if it contributes appreciably to friction (e.g. decision fatigue), and, 4) potentially complicate physical item fulfilment. They are now "Early Access Supporter Packs". We might get new ones with the 0.5 patch of path of exile 2 in april/may, but might get it with 0.6 in august/september. Speaking personally the sooner the early access period can end the better.
The big variable for me is what and when Path of Exile 4.0 will be. IGN : Reamus
