Game Freezing During Trial of Sekhema - PoE2

Recently, the game has been experiencing lagging/freezing/crashes and I suffered one while attempting the third sekhema trial with a friend. We were one room away from the trial boss and my game froze leaving me no option but to restart the game. This then prevented me from rejoining my friend’s trial because it was already in progress and the door wouldn’t open. All the time spent trying to complete that trial is gone with nothing to show for it but a few relics.

Same thing just happened to me twice in a row on two separate runs. I will now avoid doing trials as much as I can. Its a terrible experience.
