Abyss precursor tablets not functioning as intended

I am experiencing an issue where when using the "2 additional rare monsters are spawned from abysses in map" tablet modifier... it is not adding those monsters.
I just did a run with 4 abysses, and 6 total rare monsters spawned. I had two tablets with this modifier.

Previously this mechanic was allowing 4+ rares to come out of abysses in my runs. Now I am lucky if I get 1-2.

These tablets are expensive (Rare monster % increase and rarity of items % increase were also on them)

If possible I would like to be reimbursed for the cost of 6 of these tablets consumed in verifying this issue.

GGG does not give reimbursements for any reason, aside from MTX purchases.
