Need Help with Pinnacle Atlas points

IGNORE ALL THIS - Just realised you can hover over the x/10 pts thing and it tells you... So dumb how that's not expressed but whatever.






I don't know who came up with the system but it's so unintuitive.

I got Vanquisher Book 1, 2 and 5. I am trying to get the books 3 and 4. Although I have no clue.

I setup a waystone to do T16 + Tablet +1 to area level + corrupted +1 to area level. I got my Area level 82 as desired but nothing dropped upon boss completion.

Does the node require the "Boss" icon on it as well? Do i need to do the "Dangerous Boss" nodes. Whoever came up with this design could of at minimum added a quest that said, "Do alvl 80+ on a map that contains a boss icon..." All I got left is, "enter the abyss..."

I miss when it was simple, in PoE1 you just corrupt a map or go up the ladder and you naturally and intuitively attained your points. I can't even find a bloody proper wiki source to guide this. Youtube videos are outdated and can't even find a proper video on it. Cause "PoE2 boss/pinnacle atlas point guide" or anything along those lines essentially bring up 0.4 how to farm divines using ritual... 0.4 how i made 100 divines farming abyss! Like the amount of brain rot clickbait garbage there is.

So can someone please just layout in layman terms straight to the mf point, please. Cause GGG needs to add something to help clarify this. It'd be nice to see a log of quests completed and see the requirements but I don't see anything of that nature so far.

Got the same issue, killed the arbiter by buying the fragments to get 7th and 8th points. Now I need the last 2 points (I have 8/10). Tried running T16 maps on a cleansed and corrupted nodes that has +1 to monster level but only gets it to monster level 81. Does it have to have the boos icon on it as well?

From my understanding it' supposed to be a node with a map Boss on it yes... Although it didn't work for me.

Honestly I gave up, I saw the explanation on the atlas tree when you hover over the x/10 stuff. Although even when trying to follow it I am lost. There is no way to keep track of what you have completed. Which is frustrating. Not even a Questline to follow.


I wish the Map genuinely just told you: "Skill Book can be found here Req: Area Lv81+ etc..."

It would make life so much easier to be able to see if I meet the req or not.

I even tried doing the map nodes with boss icons on them, did alv81 and had all points allocated so technically boss should be lv84 "technically". Still no point. I did the same level for a "dangerous boss" map and still nothing.

I've read it could be a bug but I said screw it and gave up. The reward of getting an extra strongbox, shrine, essence... is honestly pointless. If it said extra Breach, Expedition or even Abyss... I'd say it was worth it.

Just to follow up on this...

I got my last two points by doing the 4th requirement, which to slay a citadel boss in a 79+ map THAT HAS AT LEAST 6 MODIFIERS... That's what I missed. The modifiers on the waystones are important in completing these.

Noted, thank you. I'll give it a go sometime in the future here. Maybe that's why I didn't get the books. Cause I didn't have 6 mods on the waystone probably.
