Horrible latency spikes

So I have had this issue multiple times, and a lot of other players too. But for me it only seems to be getting worse, no matter if I use Ethernet, WiFi or change to any other Server/Region/Availability Zone/Gateway or whatever you want to call it.

I have changed my DNS, restarted my router and checked my Network Adapter settings. I changed a ton of in-game options (praying to god that somehow that would fix my latency issues lmao) and also started some other games + did some speed tests. My internet seems to be completely fine and it doesn't seem like it's the fault of my ISP nor a Layer 8 problem lol.

My specs are definitely good enough and my bandwidth is too. I'm German so I'm playing on German servers on which I should play on 11ms at max.

Something weird is also that my friends playing the game, that literally live a 2 minute walk away from me seem to not have these issues.

There has to be a way to fix this right? I'm not sure if it's just the servers being bad (probably not if my friends don't have these issues) or if dynamic routing sends my into a hellhole of the worst route to ever exist, but I can't keep playing like this.

Another information that might be useful: My ping is like 11ms just to spike to 300 every other second. It's not really consistent with lagging either.

Same thing for me on console running "17" ms and 50 fps and the latency is insane idk if it's my dns or them

This can be investigated if you post an MTR log.

The guide below was created with PoE 1 in mind, but should be fairly easy to adapt for PoE 2. If you get stuck somewhere just let us know where and we can advise you further.

Sorry if I'm gonna leech onto this post. I just looked for posts describing what I was experiencing the last couple of days.

I'm experiencing exactly what Perish is describing and I generated the MRT Log.

Here's the MRT Log in full:
